There are some helpful features to make creating routes easier. Below are the added features and a definition as to the feature and how the feature works.

Auto center: This is a great feature and highly recommended that you use this feature to make mapping a route much easier. Simply click the box to the left of Auto Center to activate this function. As you are creating your route, the map will automatically move to center so you have plenty of room to draw your next point.

Show distance markers (5mi): Another cool mapping feature is Show Distance Markers (5mi) which as you create a ride places a marker on the ride every 5 miles showing you that you have gone another 5 miles.

Display elevation Profile: By checking this feature you can see the elevation profile as you create your route. If the elevation profile does not look correct. Clear the map by clicking the Clear button on the lower left side of the page. Uncheck the profile feature and drawing and save your route without the profile being active. The profile will show up once you save your route.

Follow roads (auto route): This is a great feature that makes mapping routes extremely easy. If you activate this feature, as you click on points along your route the map you’re creating will automatically follow the road. If you do an out and back ride use the Follow roads (auto route) to the out portion of the ride and then click on the Out and Back (Reverse) turn have the back portion of the route mapped. NOTE: Do not use this feature if you retrace parts of ride.
