Ride Description

www.sabinocanyon.com - Sabino Canyon is one of the premier natural scenic areas in southeastern Arizona. If you are up for an easy ride with plenty of desert beauty this is the ride for you. There are bicycling hours: Before 9 AM and after 5 PM, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. All bicycling prohibited Wednesday and Saturday. Potential Hazards: Be careful of the hikers and runners moving at slower speeds. Also be extremely careful coming down because there are some very tight turns when going over the bridges.

Start Location and Parking

Park at the Sabino Canyon Visitor Center which is located at Sunrise Rd and Sabino Canyon Rd. You will need some money to park in the visitor center. NOTE: You can start anywhere in Tucson to get to Sabino Canyon to add miles to the ride.

Ride Directions

From the Sabino Canyon Visitor Center start up the canyon road until you get to the top. Turn around and come back on the same road.

Food, Coffee, and Juice Joints

Located just a couple miles south on Sabino Canyon Rd. and Tanque Verde there is a Jamba Juice, Bruegger's Bagels and Coffee Shop. There is also a shopping center located at Sunrise and Kolb which is just west from Sabino Canyon on Sunrise Rd.

Bathrooms along the route

There are plenty of bathroom and water stops along the way.
