Ride Description

The Marsh Station road ride is an out and back ride. Once you get on Marsh Station road there are some good rollers. Plus the ride parallels the rail road tracks which make for some good scenery. You will love this ride! Potential Hazards: For the most part the roads are in good shape. Once you get on Marsh Station road there are few cars but watch out for pot holes. As long as you pay attention you are fine.

Start Location and Parking

Park at Broadway and Houghton at either the Bashas' or Safeway shopping center.

Ride Directions

From Broadway and Houghton head east on Broadway. 2 miles up the road turn right on Freeman heading south. 2.6 miles up Freeman you come to Old Spanish Trl, turn left heading south. Follow Old Spanish Trl until you get to Comino Loma Alta and turn right heading south. From Camino Loma Alta turn right on Colossal Cave Rd heading west. Colossal Cave Rd turns into Vail Rd after the rail road tracks. Just before I-10 turn left heading east on the frontage road. If you go over the I-10 bridge you have missed the turn. Stay on the frontage road and when you get to I-10 bridge you have missed turn. Stay on the frontage road. If you go over I-10 you did not stay on the frontage road. You always want to be north of the freeway for this ride. The frontage road eventually turns into Marsh Station Rd. Stay on Marsh Station road until you come to another over pass. Wave at the semi trucks and turn around and follow the same route home.

Subway and Quizonos in the shopping centers at the start of the ride. Starbucks in the Bashas' shopping center.

Bathrooms along the route

Saguaro National Park on Old Spanish Trail and General Store on Old Spanish Trail. There is a Quick Mart at mile 17 on your way out and mile 42 coming back.
