Ride Description

This is a challenging ride for the intermediate road biker looking to bag a few mountain passes. This ride is also the first leg of the famous "Triple Bypass" ride organized by Team Evergreen.

Parking is available at the 'park and ride' right by Bergen Park in Evergreen, CO. A gas station nearby has basic supplies. The ride begins to climb almost immediately although the grades are not very steep except in one or two brief sections. It is 15.5 miles or so to the top (11,150 feet above sea level) before you begin a short descent into Echo lake. Total elevation gain is approximately 3500 feet.

Ride Directions

From Bergen Park head south for a quarter of a mile on hwy 74 and make a right turn onto hwy 103. Follow the road all the way to Echo lake and ride back the same way.
