This is a pretty good ride but not on par quality-wise with Palomar Mountain or Mt.Lemmon which I also rode recently. Bottom portion is medium steep, fairly direct, & generally not that inspiring. Shoulder is minimal for entire ride. Road is in OK condition with a few potholes. Upper portion after village gets a little more intersting with lots of switchbacks & steep grades. Last 1/4 mile is pretty much straight up which left me zig zagging occasionally to get it done. Recommend compact or triple crankset to save the knees. Definitely a good workout
