Ride Description

From Ridgecrest to the top of Nine Mile Canyon and back. This ride has a climb that could be compared to the Alpe d'Huez.

Start Location and Parking

Park at Carl's Jr.

Ride Directions

Leave the Carl's Jr parking lot and turn right. Head North on Hwy 178 to Inyokern. Turn R on Old Brown Rd. Follow Old Brown Rd to Hwy 395 and turn right. Ride to Pearsonville for a well deserved break. Leave Pearsonville and ride North on Hwy 395 and turn left at the sign for Kennedy Meadows. Climb for approximately 10 miles and turn around at the top. (If you cross over the cattle guard you've gone far enough)

There's Carl's Jr at the start, A gas station in Inyokern just prior to the R turn on Old Brown Rd. The restrooms are clean. Restrooms at the Subway in Pearsonville. Be sure to fill water bottles for the climb up Nine Mile.
