Ride Description

This route is the more advanced loop out to Point Pinole from Lake Merritt in Oakland.  There is not a great deal of climbing, just the distance that makes this ride more advanced.  There is also a bikepath option on the return leg that you can take, that will put you right out on the water, although if the wind is up, you'll get ocean spray all over you, which at first will feel nice, but you'll get miserable cold after a while.  Your bike will also need to be cleaned.
