This is an awesome out and back ride from Prescott to Jerome and back. Jerome is an old mining town on the side of Mingus Mountain. Bring some money and stop in Jerome for a bit to eat.
This is a great ride but a tough one. There is a ton good climbing. You can shorten the ride and reduce the amount of climbing by not descending into Jerome. You can climb to the top of Mingus Mountain and just turn around rather than decent down into Jerome.
Potential Hazards: The descent into Jerome please be careful and control your speed. Some of turns are very tight and the road is a little beat up in areas due to snow in the winter months. The same is true for descent down Mingus Mountain back into Prescott. PLEASE CONTROL YOUR SPEED.
A good place to park is in the Albertsons shopping center parking lot on Montezuma and Sheldon.
You can park anywhere in Prescott and follow the route. Just jump on 89A and follow the route.

OK, I'm new to biking, but I have done this in a car (being from AZ)... This is an amazing route with great things to see. I just don't know if I could pull this one off yet.
