This is the typical route for the Red Canyon Century, a long ride that takes you from the Holly Abbey in Canon City, CO, up Red Canyon and back, to Pueblo, CO and back to Canon City. This is a great spring or fall ride, otherwise the summer and winter are either too cold or hot. Good pavement, and moderate climbing make for a good early season long ride. As with many rides in Colorado and early start is a must to avoid winds and potential afternoon thunderstorms.
