Moderate: Very scenic, some sections will present difficulty for novice riders as the climbs up to the Golden Gate Bridge on both sides are a little steep.
This is also San Francisco, so bring a wind jacket if you have it!!
Try and ride this in the A.M or early afternoon. If you get too late in the day the fog from the ocean will engulf the bridge and you will be soggy(not always the case, but happens regularly)

You will pass by a lot of small local shops, in Sausalito on Bridgeway Blvd. Too many to list, but if you must there is a starbucks as well, right before you get into downtown.
Bathrooms at the start. As well as water from the fountain (hopefully you have your own)
There is a Sportsbasement at the start as well. You can get just about anything you need for this ride there. Info listed in BikeShop section.
This route never takes you too far off the beaten path, so there is always an amentity close by.

Tourist Trap Hell!

I have done this ride too many times to count. It's ok for a quick workout or recovery ride, but beware of the tourists...they live!
Bottom line, if you don't leave the house before 8am in San Francisco / Marin, your going to deal with tons of tourists and traffic.
Oh yeah, it's cold, wet and foggy!
